Capacity Building Program
The Capacity Building Programme (CBP) strengthens the ability of higher education institutions to actively support innovation and entrepreneurship within the cultural and creative industries. Through tailored training, peer learning, and mentoring activities, academic and non-academic staff are equipped with practical tools to foster entrepreneurial mindsets, develop innovation-oriented curricula, and support emerging creative ventures. By addressing institutional needs and encouraging long-term structural change, the programme helps universities become active drivers of cultural innovation within their regional and European ecosystems.

The main thing I learned in this unit is how to focus on people when designing and innovating in creative industries. I learned that innovation is not only about technology- it can also b e about how things look, feel, or make people think. I also learned to use tools like personas, customer journey maps, and service blueprints to understand what users need and improve their experience, while planning how things work behind the scenes. I learned about the twin transition, which means we need both digital and green skills to improve. Overall, this unit showed me how t o make creative, practical, and sustainable solutions that really help people.

different types of innovation, like product, business model, architectural, and soft innovations, and how they help companies grow and stay
competitive. I also learned about the twin transition, digital and green, and how it creates a need for both digital and environmental skills in this
field. Another important part was learning about service design tools, like personas, customer journey maps, and service blueprints, which help to
focus on users and improve their experience. Overall, this unit helped me understand how innovation works in creative industries and gave me
practical skills that I can use in real projects.
