Supporting the creation and scaling of start-ups in the CCIs
The Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI University), Slovenia, plays a key role in advancing CreaTech’s mission to strengthen and scale hashtag#startups within the Cultural and Creative Industries!
As one of the project’s core academic partners, EMUNI is leading the design and implementation of the Start-up Booster Programme, which supports early-stage entrepreneurs from Albania, hashtag, Kosovo, the United Kingdom, Greece, and Slovenia. Over eight intensive weeks, participants move through the full business development journey: From idea validation and problem definition to innovation design, financial planning, and pitching.
Mentors from EMUNI and partner institutions offer tailored guidance and open access to broader innovation networks, including incubators, investors, and industry experts.
EMUNI officially launched the first pilot cohort of the programme on 27 October, running until Christmas. This pilot marks an important milestone in developing a new support model for creative and cultural entrepreneurship in the Euro-Med region.
One of the cohort’s highlights is Slovene designer Nika Ravnik, whose zero-waste fashion brand merges sustainable production methods with innovative construction and sculptural aesthetics. Her brand is steadily gaining visibility through growing sales, media features, and diverse collaborations.
The pilot will wrap up in December with final pitches and business-plan submissions. All insights will be reflected in a comprehensive Cohort Report, shaping next year’s programme cycles and contributing to a more resilient and connected regional CCI ecosystem.
The CreaTech consortium sincerely appreciates EMUNI’s outstanding efforts and looks forward to continuing this strong collaboration.
