Leading innovation and business development in Cultural and Creative Industries
The CreaTech Project at AAB College: A New Opportunity for Students
The CreaTech project has officially been launched at AAB College, marking an important step toward strengthening innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship within higher education.
During the opening event, the Rector of AAB College, Dr. Sc. Blerim Olluri, congratulated those present and emphasized that CreaTech represents an initiative that unites creativity, technology, and entrepreneurial thinking. He highlighted that AAB College is not only an active partner but also the institution leading the development of the Knowledge Lab within Work Package 4, a new training program designed to develop practical skills, entrepreneurial mindsets, and innovative competencies among students and academic staff. These laboratories will operate as spaces of co-creation between the university and industry, offering training, mentoring, and structured support for idea development.
The project coordinator, Professor Dr. Agron Mustafa from the Faculty of Economics, further outlined the importance of the project and explained how students will be directly involved in its implementation. He introduced the project’s work packages, objectives, and the broader vision for how CreaTech will contribute to the development of new capacities within the CCIs.
Following the project launch, students at AAB College have shown remarkable interest in the Knowledge Lab program! The first training session opened with a lecture by Professor Agron Mustafa titled “Fundamentals of Creative Business and Innovation.” This session marked the beginning of a long-term program designed to equip students with contemporary knowledge and hands-on skills at the intersection of creativity and technology.
The Knowledge Lab program will run until December 20, 2025, and includes sixty hours of interactive training divided into four modules, as well as ten hours of personalized mentoring with industry experts. The hybrid format (delivered both onsite and online) enables students to engage in group work, participate in real-life project development, and learn from international professionals. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of successful completion, along with a special badge of recognition for outstanding engagement. In several partner institutions, the program is also recognized with ECTS credits.
This international cooperation aims to build bridges between higher education, innovation, and the creative industries, preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of the European labor market.
